Initial Development

These are the initial drawings I came up with for my pattern. I decided to base the pattern around a simple grid with the aim of the grid showing through the repeating shapes without actually being drawn by traditional lines. I found my first design idea based just off rotating triangle shapes created a nice contrast and the negative effect looked quite effective so I decided to build on this design formula for the rest of my experiments.
